Technology, Tombs, and Texts: Uncovering the Ancient Maya Past

Subjects like this make me sorry I won't be able to get to the Peabody Museum of Archaeology & Ethnology on Thursday, December 9. In an illustrated lecture you'll learn how  LiDAR (Light Detecting and Ranging technology) images were used to map the area as well as see how 3D versions of the images allowed greater detail than previously possible.

If you're in the Boston area on December 9th, I highly recommend you make this presentation. Open your Museums In Boston app, select List Science, then Peabody Museum of Archaeology & Ethnology. If you'd like more information, touch the email address to automatically send them an email. Or, if you'd prefer to call, touch the phone number and it will automatically open the dialer with the number pre-populated.

Don't have Museums In Boston? Just go to the Android Market and search for "Museums In Boston". The app is FREE so there's no cost to you.
